Can I use EZ Battery in an commercial environment?
No! EZ Battery is a software created exclusively for home and educational use. Authorities or Organizantions of  state or community are treat as commercial environment, unless it is no educational environment. Associactions / Unions / Federations are also treat as commercial environment!  It is not allowed and illegal to use EZ Battery in a commercial environment! 

Can I distribute EZ Battery on an CD of a computer magazine?
You can distribute EZ Battery on such a CD as long as the CD is part of a magazine (and for this reason the CD is for free). If you distribute a CD (i.e. a "Software Collection CD") and you are demanding a fee for this CD, it is not allowed to distribute EZ Battery on it.

Can I distribute EZ Battery on my webspace / server?
You can distribute EZ Battery on your webspace / server as long as you do not demand any fee for the download. The download must be free for everyone!

Can I use EZ Battery with Windows 9x and  ME?
No! EZ Battery works only with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It won't change!

Can I use EZ Battery with Windows XP x64?
No. For several reasons the EZ Battery does not work 64 bit Systems. At the moment no 64 bit version of EZ Battery is planned.

Can I use Windows XP Themes with EZ Battery?
Yes. EZ Battery supports windows XP Themes very well. Only the Themes provided by Microsoft are supported. Other themes may work.

Will be there a EZ Battery version supporting Windows 2003?
No! There are have no plans for a Windows 2003 compatible version.

Will be there a EZ Battery version supporting Windows Vista?
Currently there  are no plans to make Windows Vista specific changes in EZ Battery.

Will be there a EZ Battery version supporting 64 bit Windows?
No! There are no plans for a 64 bit version.

There will not be a 64 bit Version / Vista compatible version, why?
Since EZ Battery is a code base written for 32 bit Windows. For this reason a conversion to 64 bit Windows would be a lot of work. Since there is no time for this conversion there are no plans to do this.
Windows Vista brings a lot of new things with it (i.e. UAC, Aero Glass, ...). A lot things must be changed to run EZ Battery under Windows Vista. Due the lack of time this changes are currently not planned.

Can I use EZ Battery on a Desktop PC?
Yes, basically it is possible to use EZ Battery on a Desktop PC. A Desktop PC normally does not have a  battery so EZ Battery can not display the battery state. It is possible, if  the system has a USV, to show the USV state.

Does EZ Battery run on every Notebook?
Yes, EZ Battery works with all Notebooks if Windows 2000 or Windows XP (32 Bit) is used as operating system.

How do I install EZ Battery?
For setup it is only necessary to execute the EZBSetup.exe. The active account must have administrative privileges. An restricted user account may result in an incorrect setup. For later using of EZ Battery no administrative account is needed.

How can I  uninstall EZ Battery?
There are two possibilities to uninstall EZ Battery:
   1. Control Panel - Software - Select EZ Battery and click remove
   2. The Program menu folder "EZ Battery" contains a link called "Remove EZ Battery". The Folder "EZ Battery" is only present if this option was not  disabled during setup.

Is there a  EZ Battery version without Setup?
No!

Does EZ Battery support more than on battery?
Yes, up to 4 batteries in the system, and all values of the batteries  may be displayed, if the system support this.

Does EZ Battery make changes in the Powermanagement?
No! EZ Battery does not make changes in the Powermanagement settings which has a effect on the Notebook runtime. The user can change the power profile if the Taskbar Panel is displayed and an other profile is selected by the user. EZ Battery does not make any changes itself.

I'd like to know how a specific feature is designed. Can I get the source code?
The source code of EZ Battery is not available neither complete nor partially.

What can I do if I found a bug?
First check if you can reproduce the problem, than check if the found bug is not in the bug list. If the bug is not in the bug list I'd be peased if the bug is reported.

Why aren't there any Roadmaps or time schedules for new versions?
EZ Battery is a project with a very limited amount of time. The support, and answering email requests needs a lot time. For this reason a scheduling is not possible, since EZ Battery does not have any priority in my plannings.

My virus scanner detects a virus or trojan, why?
The Setup of EZ Battery is made with the Nullsoft Installer (NSIS). Unfortunately some virus scanners detect once in a while a virus or trojan in the setup file. If a result is positive it is recommended to check the result with an other virus scan software. It is also a good idea to report this problem to the software manufacturer of the virus scan software.

Can I send a request  for a new feature in EZ Battery?
Yes, EZ Battery will be enhanced from time to time. For that all requests of new features will be checked if it makes sense to implement it in a new version.
